Aunt Alice,
When I came home from Sarnia in 1955, the first person I seen was Uncle Mickey. He could tell that I was upset about something, and told me he would get someone for me to talk to, that person was you. You put your arms around me, and explained to me why mom was not home any more, and other things that were important at the time. You said that if I needed you, you would be there, and you and Uncle Mickey have always been there. God gives bleesings, and you and Uncle Mickey were mine.

I'm so sorry to hear of Uncle Mic's passing. My heart goes out to you and my cousins and their families. It been awhile since my mom died (1999) so I know with every day you all will think of many things that made Uncle mic so special. The 1st ! that came to my mind was playing in the old barn and uncle yelling at us to leave the pigs alone. I'm sorry we won't be able to make it down for the service on Friday but my prayers are with you always.

Aunt Alice and family. You are in my thoughts and prayers as always. I know how words of thoughts are a comfort at such a difficult time in your lives. Please let me share with you a couple of my fondest memories of Uncle Mick. I do remember the farm when Uncle Mick would come home after a long day at work and be mauled by myself,my sister Shelly (grubby) Anita and Michelle to see what he had left in his lunch box ,
For the four of us to share . No matter what the item, the four trouble soules looked for it.
When my husband Perry, first met Uncle Mick and Aunt Alice after the death of my mother, Perry said Kris you
are very fortunate to have each of them in your family. When I asked Perry why, his response was .....I have never met such a talkive man in all my live. I was luckily if I could get a word in with all his story telling and such. Kris this is a man who loves his family dearly and he is the kind of man I wish our daughter had as a grandpa . RIP Uncle Mick, take care of your daughter and the many family members all ready there.
Love you Kristine (Tinno)Munro (Hall)

Dear Aunt Alice,
Through the good times and bad - together you made it work out somehow. Your family and their children will be a great comfort and support to you now. Each will have their own special memories. Now is a good time to share them.
Uncle Mick touched the lives of everyone he met. Whether the impact was great or small ,he was not a man who would be easily forgotten.
His laugh was infectious and his smile took over his face. He may have left you wondering but it was never for too long.
Take comfort in being assured that he loved his family and took great pride in telling the world about each and every one of his children.
Aunt Alice, you have always been the apple in his eye and oh how they twinkled.
He was a special man who made his mark in the world by just being himself. No airs,no pretences. Just Uncle Mick.
In my thoughts and prayers, Chloe

I was saddened to hear of the recent passing of your dear husband, father & grandfather Milford. I had the good fortune to meet him through my friendship with Jayne & Jim. My daughter Sophie & I came to know him simply as "Grandpa" for he welcomed us in, as did your whole family as if we were family too.
We will always remember his warmth, humour, love of life & entertaining stories.
You are in our thoughts at this sad time and we hope that you find comfort in your memories of him and in the knowledge of how he touched the lives of others who met him.
Sincerely,
Sue, Sophie and Shastri

Celebration of life
Look around this room, what do you see? What do I see? love, understanding, trust, honesty, integrity, patients, caring. you see this is not a celebration of death, but of life.
As you look around this room you see a beautiful family along with friends that have lost Mickey for now. you see knowing Mickey as I did he would not want you to grieve for too long only for a bit and never say goodbye, but instead until meet again and GOD BLESS.
In turn he would want you to continue with life and love one another to the fullest and make sure watch over your mother Alice.
Celebrate his life and all the wonderful things you all did with him and reflect in your daily lives the principals he and Alice put in place, in this way this beautiful family will remain strong in peace and love.
Yes! I think this is what he would want.
Mickey loved you all unconditionally with his whole heart. He would always take what you said as gospel, wheher it was right or wrong he knew down deep you would figure it out sooner or later, he allowed you that time to revisit and make your own decison.
I had many disscusions with Mickey, and sometimes it was a bit hard to get a word in, but you know it was beautiful as life itself, I loved Mickey for that, he treated me as a son and I will never forget.
Remember don't say goodbye, but GOD BLESS
Always
