Oatway, Joanne Passed away peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital with Scott, Marj and her Aunt Jeannie by her side, on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the age of 47, following a courageous battle with cancer. Joanne is predeceased by her parents John and Wilma (Rhindres). Loving and devoted wife of Scott Lumsden. Jo will be fondly remembered by her step-son Jeremy, her brother John (Mel Foulkes), and her nephews Nate and Jack Oatway. She will be sadly missed by her 'sister' Marjorie and her husband David Bernier as well as 'Jo's Girls' Stephanie, Rachelle, Sarah and Alexandra. Joanne's extended family included her aunts, uncles, cousins, her many friends in her personal life as well as many colleagues and friends in her teaching career. All are welcome to join with the family for a Celebration of Joanne's life on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Perth, at 2 o'clock. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, Smiths Falls, at a later date. Should you wish, you are welcome to make a donation in Joanne's memory to the Ottawa General Hospital Oncology Unit or the Otty Lake Association.
