In addition to the times we met Paul, we also heard many stories about him from both Keith and Meghan and know that he was a caring father and grandfather, a man with many friends, and someone who made time for the things he loved to do, and the people he loved to do them with. I just learned the world has lost a wonderful man. Paul was a fellow colleague in the automotive business but more important a friend. I first Paul in the mid eighties when he was a customer of Sunoco and I was manager of National accounts.
It was my policy not to get close to my customers as it could be constued as favoritism if it was felt that one customer might be receiving a low price. Since the dollar sales were huge, the impact on product cost and the bottom line of a company was significant.
Try as I might, Paul made this goal impossible. With his unquestionable honesty, forthright questions and his outgoing personality our ongoing negotiations were always enjoyable and when completed, I allways looked forward to our next get together.
Our cottage is at Christie Lake, so, when Paul retired we resumed our freindship with numerous rounds of golf at Links of Tay.
I am deaply saddened to hear os his passing and will miss the good times and laughter we that we had.
Paul shared with me many stories about all of you, and, while I have only met Paula, I feel that I know all of you.

A man full or spirit!
I had the honour of meeting Paul as one of my colleagues in Mercedes-Benz Dealer Meetings. Paul and I spent lots of time on the phone sharing ideas and always could count on Paul when it came to working through finding ways to do business.
I was always pleased to see that big smile and firm handshake when we would get together for meetings and we always knew Paul would not skate around issues that would need to be dealt with. Paul called things as they were and would never try to sugar coat the sour things.
I last spoke to Paul when he thought he beat the worst of it. His voice was so great to hear, so full of determination to spend time with his family and friends making sure he would squeeze all the fullness life had to offer knowing he was past the worst of it.
Unfortunately he lost that battle, fortunately for us we had the pleasure of knowing this great man, Paul was super friend and to this day I miss his voice booming a cheerful greeting on the phone. I had the privilege of knowing you and tapping into your wisdom on more than one occasion.
Paul, sadly your not with us today, but certainly not forgotten.
