One wintry day when the country roads were blocked Frank Riff came around with his "snowmobile" to pick up us school kids. There was no seat for me when I got on so Elton sat me on his knee. I was about 7 years old. Elton remarked about my cute curly hair. He made my day. Thank you, Elton. I've never forgotten.

To Elton's family, Marsha, David , Stephen, and brothers and sisters, I read of Elton's passing on a Danville site I am a member of. We went to school together, and he is in my family tree. We share the same great-great- grandfather. Fleming... It is sad to hear of old friends passing, I am 2 years younger then Elton. I have 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grndchilren who live in Smiths Falls. Having not seen Elton in over 50 years I don't know much about his lie.
