God has received the "sweetest" angel into His heavenly gates. Marion was volunteerism at it's best, friend, and pillar of the family. So many will miss her in so many aspects of life. What a wonderful lady and it is so nice to read here all the love and respect family and friends had for this dear lady. We would like to send our deepest sympathy to the family and send our love and prayers for your strength and that God will heal your breaking hearts.

We were truly saddened to hear of Marion's passing. Lanark County and the maple syrup industry has lost a strong, personable, honest woman who knew the value of a hard day's work. She was loved and respected by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with Brien and the Paul family.

It is with great sadness that we hear of Marion's passing. We are currently in British Columbia at a family wedding and are unable to attend her wake or funeral. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Brien and the whole family.
Back in 1978 when we started our maple operation Marion and Brien were there to help and assist us . Marion was always there and willing to share her knowledge and experience, this will always be appreciated. With our many trips to pick up supplies our kids would always be excited about going and looked forward to getting their treat of maple sugar that Marion would give to them. Marion was without a doubt a Maple Queen. Marion will be greatly
missed.

We will miss Auntie Marion very much, and have such great memories of her to keep with us forever. We loved spending time learning about maple syrup, and we enjoyed many family dinners at Brien and Marion's table. Our thoughts are with Brien, Kathy, Darryl, Wayne and their families.

Many times I remember my brother Arthur Code speaking highly of Brien and Marion. He bought and gave to us some wonderful maple syrup from the Paul farm. Our sincere sympathy to the entire family on behalf of my brother Art and ourselves. May she rest in peace.

Brien and family, I’m so sorry to hear of Marion’s passing and feel fortunate that Dave and I were able to visit on Friday. She will be greatly missed. Marion was a constant at all the Lanark, Provincial and many national maple meetings. She always had input and a genuine concern for the producers and maple industry. She made government employees feel welcome but also made sure that we were made aware of industry concerns and didn’t get off too easy! I feel very lucky to have known Marion and the Paul family on a professional and personal basis and have many good memories. Sincerest sympathy.

Marion Paul has been an inspiration to a number of people I am sure in all that she has been involved with. In our case we have appreciated the fact that even though we only met up with Marion every year or so we seem to be able to pick up where we left off and continue our lifelong maple visit. Her willingness to share her maple wisdom, a good sense of humouor and her caring inquiries into the wellbeing of our family have endeared her to our hearts forever. Our thoughts and prayers are with Brien and the rest of the family at this time.

Dear Brien and Family:
We were more than pleased to see Marion so happy when we stopped by the hospital on Sunday evening to see her.
It was nice to hear her tell us that we had just missed out on all of the great music and entertainment that the family had provided for her.
Now, it is so very hard for us to learn and accept that she has gone from among us so quickly.
It is with great sorrow that we send you and yours our deepest sympathy.
She was a gallant lady and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
In friendship ,
Jim and Edith

Dear Brien and family,
There are so many good memories from my days as a young fellow at my father's shop in Smiths Falls (Hamilton's Equipment). It was there that I got to know you and your family. However, your farm machinery dealings with us went way beyond a business relationship and I remember many visits to your home with my parents, Ex and Mary, and my brother and sister, Pat and Irene. Our family really considered your family as good friends. I am sorry to hear of Marion's death. She loved to smile and laugh and was so kind to us. It is interesting that she left this world on June 6th. It is the same day that my mother died 21 years ago, also at age 77. From all of us, we thank you for the many kindnesses you showed us in years past and we pray God's blessing for you as we remember Marion. May she Rest in Peace.

My heartfelt sympathies go to Uncle Brien and all of your family: On June 6, the world lost the most remarkable women I have ever had the honour to have known. What a wonderful cook, syrup maker, gardner, baker, friend, relative. She was a pillar of the community and her family, so knowledgable about life itself, always honest, loving and helpful, so giving. I will never forget how welcome she made me feel, how she was always willing to share a meal, along with lots of wonderful stories of past and present, and a wonderful sense of humour. She didn't have a rich life full of things; they weren't important to her.. The importance of her life was how beautifully she saw the riches of living her life the way that she did. I will never forget the many family celebrations. One very special thing she did for me that I will never forget, was being with me at the hospital when David had his surgery, and her coming with me to make his funeral arrangements. Not a day will pass when i won't think of Aunt Marion and her memories will always hold a special spot in the deepest part of my heart. Take care everyone, Pat.........

It is with sadness that we hear of Marion's passing. Marion has always been dear to our hearts, from the day my mom & dad came home in 1966 and told us of meeting this great young couple in Lanark that made all of these terrific value added maple products. We always felt a connection which was fostered through fun times, mixed with a little business now and again. The memories were always good and the stories will live in our hearts forever! Goodbye Marion, from the Jakeman Family.
