Ritchie, Mark D. December 22, 1955 ~ June 7, 2012 On Thursday, June 7, 2012 Mark D. Ritchie passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by love and family at the age of 56. Thank you Lord for accepting your son to your side this day. Cherished husband and best friend to Gail. Mark was "#1 Son" to Dorothy and the late Red Ritchie. Mark was the eldest brother to Cindy (Alan Frank), Emmett, Betty (Pete Bissonette), David, Tracy (Craig Wylie) and Ron. Mark will be dearly missed by his sister-in-law Millie Browett, who arrived from Ladysmith, BC to be by Mark's bedside. He will be fondly remembered by his acquired daughters, Cheri, Joanne, Sandi and his grandchildren Becki, Jen, Codi, and wee Connor of whom Mark often said, "I would do anything for those kids". Mark will be missed around the bowling alley, dart leagues, pool games and card halls of his hometown and by countless friends he always spoke kindly of. There's a precious jewel of our town missing now. Our little "Baby-Boo" will forever miss his loving master and companion. Mark ~ you did your best everyday and I'm so proud of you. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Monday, June 11, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Service in the Chapel at 12 o'clock. Private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gratton Lanes Youth Bowling League in Mark's memory.
