We don't remember how long it was our privilege to call Gary our friend but we know it wasn't nearly long enough. Gary was a kind and caring person with an easy laugh and love of life that could light up a room. He had an amazing knowledge of the world and it's complexities. There wasn't much that didn't catch Gary's interest. Gary - we are so sad to lose such a wonderful friend. You will be greatly missed. Jan - our hearts go out to you. Please know that you are not alone.

I was so very sorry to hear about Gary's passing . During our time at AgCan, he was a wonderful friend, a mentor, so much fun during our noontime walks and always a great wealth of information. He will be greatly missed by many.

Gary stood very tall in our eyes. Intelligent and kind. Hard-working and tender. Always ready to offer help, not only with advice but actively participating. He was a true friend. My husband, Lloyd, recently had the privilege of spending an afternoon alone with Gary while Jan was taken out for her birthday lunch by girlfriends. Gary talked of many things and although Lloyd didn't share all with me, the impression was that Gary felt very satisfied with his life. His only real concern was that he would not be with Jan during their senior years. Our thoughts now turn to you Jan. We want to provide you with ongoing support and love. Rest in peace dear Gary.

I am very sorry to miss the service on Saturday I am leaving for Vancouver Saturday. Gary was certainly a caring person willing to help other and always looking on the bright side of life. I know he loved life, family and friends. He always had lots of insights on many subjects and willing to discuss them with friends and family. I will contact his family on my return. I will miss my friend.
