Cindy,Debbie,Mike,Joanne-I was so heart sick to hear about your mom. She was like my mom growing up and was always there for me when I was making a pest of myself at your house. She was a great lady and I will never forget her. Please accept my deepest sympathy in this time of loss. Although she is gone she will never be far from any of us.

Nan
Nanny was not only the loving grandma that took our family in when we moved back to Canada, but also the reliable and caring babysitter that took Ryan and I into her home every day before and after school. Her home-made snacks were world famous (or the odd 'Ahh Caramels' she would treat us with but never tell). She patiently tolerated our relentless lego building and Art Attack craft attempts, as long as she got to see her Max Keeping on the news for a few minutes! She taught me everything I know about gardening, honey, Elvis...and not to disturb poppy when we was napping in his chair! She has always been a role model I look up to and hope to be like with my children and grandchildren one day. Nanny, I love you and miss you so much and wish that you have the same amazing effect on people in heaven as you did here on earth. You will forever be in my heart.
Love Leanne

My other mom
I tried to grow up in the village of Franktown. Mike Rosborough and I grew up together much the same as his mother and my mother did during the war. They were childhood friends too. My first big over night came when I was allowed to stay down at Mikes. I was pretty nervous to say the least but Marg made me feel so welcome. She told me about the nights she would spend at my moms house and the fun they would have when they were kids. I always loved they way she would wiggle my hair and say "hello Gregory". I told her she was like my second mom. She would look at me and say...well...maybe and smile. I could stay and talk with her if Mike and Johnny were gone fishing at the government dam and were going to be home soon. We would talk about the old days and the new ones yet to come.
As time goes on and you grow up you realize how much of your memories you are made of and of those memories, some you have been shaped with. The people who were directly involved with and ultimately help you with who you become. Marg and Johnny were 2 of those people that I hold close to my heart and always will. Marg was a kind and caring person who helped a little boy feel welcome and feel loved and not feel so lonesome for home while he was trying to grow up.....I love you Marg.
