Chocolate Covered Almonds and Peppermint Patties
Where to start, well just a few years ago when I was 16, Wow! Mrs. Smyth (never called her Rhona)welcomed me into her family. She always made me feel like family. We both loved chocolate covered almonds that she would buy after work at the Hershey Plant and at Christmas peppermint patties. Even when I moved west I would send her peppermint patties for Christmas with just a "Guess who?"It was our connection. She loved her cat Dusty who would sit on her knee and "make bread". Every Friday night before a Blue Wings game she would make us chicken always with paprika,onion and garlic powder. In lose days I could eat the skin. It was sooo good. She said even I could make it. And for many years I did and still do.(But no skin)
