I got to know Iona at Rosebridge Manor, where she shared a room with my sister at one point, and later on they sat at the same table in the dining room. Iona was such a pretty lady, with a charming smile. And she showed determination and strength of character. Iona lightened my visits. Condolences to her family for their loss.

camping

I will never forget when you invited Brenda & I to your camp site in the US. We were in our early twenties and went out partying one night while staying with you in your camping trailer. We arrived back at 3 a.m. and to say the least we were a little hung over. You insisted Brenda and I get up out of bed early and go shopping with you. We were so tired we couldn't even think straight. So hung over that morning we couldn't even eat. But while shopping, more like leaning on a cart, we needed food. So we opened a pack of those 2 cent snicker chocolate bars and ate one. We forgot all about it and when we got to throught the cash we were stopped at the front door by security. We were so scared we were going to jail over 2 cent chocolate bars. After raking us through the coals we were escorted to the cash to pay for them and out the front door of the store and told never to come back. We raced to the car and once we calmed down we told you what happened. All you could do was laugh! Brenda and I talk about this story to this day!

You will be greatly missed by all but now you are with your husband and at peace!

Love Maureen and daughter Kerry-Anne
