Dear Joan, Norm & Kathy & family, Joyce and Mel & family, I just wanted to send my condolences to all of you. I used to be Florence's Home Support Worker for Para Med back in 1998. I have often thought of Florence and now I know why,...she must have still been praying for me. Let me just say that I loved coming to the Porter farm and spending time with Joan and Florence. Norm and Kathy would venture in for a cup of coffee and a snack. I remember going to Florence's 80th birthday party and wow, she made it all the way to 92!!!! How wonderful! I have rediscovered all of you and my mind is flooded with such fond memories because one of my best friends, Suzy, has lost her 19 year old daughter Kyrie this week. I am awaiting her funeral arrangements on the Blair's website and I thought I would go through the past services to see if there was anyone I once knew in Smith's Falls. Sadly, there are a few but I know that Florence is indeed singing in perfect harmony with the angels praising and worshiping our wonderful Lord! God gives me little love clues in life like I see that Florence passed away on Feb. 23,....my mother's birthday! I am now remarried and living in Australia with the most wonderful man who loves me so much and my 5 kids too. We are coming up to our 6th anniversay next month. My baby, Emily, who you might remember me visiting with, is now 10. My 3 eldest daughters are still in Canada and I miss them terribly. My 20 year old son also lives here in Australia. Can I just testify to the goodness and grace of our God! I am growing in faith and love in a wonderful community and church with lots of Christian outreach. Life is sooooo good for me now. I know that Florence prayed for me. I have the utmost respect for you all and for your mother. If you would like to drop me a line, I think my email is included.
