In Loving Memory Of Emily Vale (Foote) MacPhee 1918-2009 Emily MacPhee was born in South Acton, Mass. on July 6, 1918 and "born again" August 9, 1949. She was the daughter of John and Mae (Barnaby) Foote, and was raised and educated in Nova Scotia where she attended school in Hantsport and Windsor Academy and the Provincial Normal College in Truro, N.S. Besides teaching in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick for thirty-three years, she was blessed with two dear children, Garnet who now resides in the U.S.A. and Heather of Perth, Ontario and with two grandchildren, James and Melanie, also residing in Ontario. As well, Emily was very proud of her five great-grandchildren - Madison, Gavin, Otty, Noelle and Hunter. Shortly after her retirement, Emily moved to Perth where she has made her home since 1981. On several occasions, while in her 70's and in her 81st year, Emily took part in the Terry Fox Run, easily walking the total distance specified. For a number of years Emily entertained the seniors at Keenagers with readings which were enjoyed by all. Emily especially liked poetry and has written a number of poems which she has shared with family and friends. For many years Emily read the Bible through each year. Her favourite verse of Scripture was Jeramiah 33:3 "Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not." She will be missed by her family and friends here and joyfully welcomed by her heavenly family.
