To Leanne, Rosemarie and families: I remember with fondness working with Murray at The Perth Courier for many years. After I left, I would see him about town and we'd always have a long, lovely chat. He was so good natured, with that big hearty laugh! He was always cracking corny jokes at the Courier, and was always the first to laugh! Those were fun days. He was a kind, gentle soul and will be missed. My deepest sympathy to you all.

Well Murr I believe that you had a great time on earth while you were here. I know that I enjoyed your company. You were a heck of good card player especially Cannasta. Your football & hockey skills were above average, and those who could not get out of your way paid dearly for that.
John's son, your grandson is one good football player as well.
I remember a couple of things about football when you were in grade 12 & I i grade 9 went out to try to make the team. I got matched up against you and Gary Chapman. I think I made the team because I was still able to walk after the practice was over.
Murr had a great sence of humor. Many years later after High School graduation I walked into his house & said I now weigh 208 lbs & I could certainly do some damage as a running halfback ( because in High School I never weighed more than 125 lbs. He yep you would Ray because they would have made you a linesman.
Well Murr sorry I didn't get this off to you sooner, you are still in my thoughts.
Miss you.
Ray
