I have known Jack since high school, and though we have not seen each other very often over the past years, I still consider him a friend. My condolences to Joan and the family.

Deepest sympathy to Joan, Murray,David, as well as all other family and friends close to Jack. Jack had a hand in hiring me as the Town's Director of Parks and Recreation in October of 1979. It didn't take long for Patty and I to realize Jack's passion for people, as well as his committment to improving the quality of life in Smiths Falls recreationally. He was a strong believer in the positive physical, social, cultural, economic and environmental benefits, involvement in Parks & Recreational activities had on a person's life. He was influential as a Parks & Recreation Committee Member,Municipal Councillor and dedicated member of the Civitan Club of Smiths Falls. We will also miss him dearly as a valued friend.
Respectfully,
Rick and Patty St. Dennis

Sorry to hear the passing of Jack. I worked with Jack at Wire Rope and always remembered his smile and laugh. We had a good laugh when we would meet around town always talking about Daryl and his accomplishments. Jack will be missed and Diane and I will remember all of you in your time of grief. God Bless.

I was so sorry to hear that Jack had passed. He was a really nice guy with quite the sense of humour. I'll always remember him "holding court" in his porch with a smile and a wave for everyone. He will be missed. To Joan, Debbie, Donna and your families -you are all in my prayers.
