Healey, Deborah "Debbie" (nee McShane) Passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Kanata on Saturday, August 28, 2010 Deborah Louise (McShane) Healey at the age of 53. Loving and devoted mother of Connor of New York City, Tegan of Brockville, Garrett of Toronto and Meredith also of Toronto. She will be sadly missed by her father Dean (Lise) McShane, her brother Steven (Donna) McShane, her sister Carol Ann (Fred) Simkins, as well as her nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Debbie was predeceased by her cherished mother Carol (Frost) McShane. Debbie was a caregiver her entire career as a devoted daughter during her mother's battle with cancer, then as a nurse and nurse practitioner in Smiths Falls, Portland, Merrickville and recently in Ottawa. She was a gifted athlete in school and an avid athlete her entire adult life. As a breast cancer survivor, she was always committed to a positive lifestyle. By far, the most joy in her life came from raising her four children, all of whom mourn this loss profoundly and forevermore. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Francis de Sales Church, Smiths Falls on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Deborah Louise Healey Memorial Scholarship Fund.
