Grant, J. Bernard, In his 94th year, passed away peacefully at the Perley & Rideau Veterans Health Centre in Ottawa on Sunday, May 15, 2011, J. Bernard Grant is predeceased by his loving wife Eileen T. (Whalen). As a loving and devoted father of Wayne and John Grant, Bernard is also survived by his sister Elizabeth "Betty" (late Bernie) Lawson. Bernard is predeceased by his brothers Donald and Wallace Grant and his sisters Catherine and Hazel Fitzgerald. Bernard will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. All may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St. N. Smiths Falls on Friday, May 20, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., again on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church, Smiths Falls on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery.
