Dear kate and family, John was the senior Instructor at the school of music when I went through in 86/87. I remember him as a down to earth person and not a boss, he helped teach me what being a Drum Instructor in the CF was really about. I remember how much he enjoyed fishing and once in awhile we would take a few hours and go down by the Airfield in Rockcliffe and cast a few lines, me being from the east coast I had never seen a muski but he had one on the line one day and we kidded for hours, days and months about the size of it. John will certainly be missed, we are lesser without him, but he has touched so many lives and those of us who know him were lucky to have had the privilage. MWO Doug Craft
