Annie, I am so sorry. Calvin and I would often have a nice chat as the two us toddled around downtown. Me delivering BIA newsletters and Calvin tearing up the sidewalks with his walker. He was a gentle, kind and funny man and never to be forgotten. You did Calvin proud with his memorial. I hope the many beautiful memories you have with him are a comfort in the days ahead.

Many years Calvin arrived with a big smile at the therapeutic riding..I always enjoyed his cheerful smile, his charming comments and his determination to ride no matter how cold,wet or sunny it was..Calvin was well liked and always helping out greatly with fundraisers for the program..hugs and love to you Calvin..you are one special dude..have a great journey and keep smiling down on us..we love you always ..Maria and all of us from the therapeutic riding program including his favourite horses Mickey, Ebony and Callie..to name a few that will greet him in his new place somewhere in the heavens where everyone is equally at peace.

Hi, I did not know Calvin at all. I used to live in SF and revlceive obituary notices. But I wanted to express how profoundly beautiful his obituary was written. It touched me incredibly. If we could remember and celebrate every person in our lives this way, what a wonderful world it would be! You gave him more respect and dignity in these words than he 'may' have received for all his 40 years at Rideau Regional. Your love for him, expressed this way, is just so so touching. Thank you for accepting this man exactly as he was. For giving him the space and patience and freedom to allow his true self to be seen and discovered. For recognizing and acknowledging all the people who helped him be all he could be. You truly have celebrated his life in your writing. ❤️ God bless you as you mourn his passing.
