Susan & Charmaine,
I know you will probably not remember me, but when we were kids, we used to sometimes play together when I would be visiting my grandparents, the Hope’s on Winnifred St. Susan, I think you and I are about the same age, and Charmaine is a couple of years younger. I believe we also attended Sunday School together at Elgin School. Anyway, I remember your mom, and just wanted to express my condolences to you both, and your families, and her many, many friends. May she fly high with the angels.
My mom, Marion Bennett also sends her condolences.

The community has lost a very special lady--someone who brightened many a day with an amazing sense of humour (and delivery style) and a sense of caring. She certainly made a mark at the golf course, serving as a role model for many of us in sportsmanship and friendship. Our thoughts and prayers are with Laura's family. Take care, Donna and Paul Howard.

Our deepest sympathy to Laura’s family. She was a wonderful woman like no other. Her zest for life, her contributions to our town, her presence on the golf course, including her great jokes, she will always be remembered fondly to all that knew her. God has received another angel and if any of those angels are having a sad day
she will brighten them up with her funny stories.
You will be missed Laura.

My deepest sympathy Susan, Charmaine, Irv and all Laura’s Family. I first met Laura 50 years ago at the Curling Club on James Street. Our friendship grew over those years and we had many great times together. Laura strived to be the best at everything, curling, golf, working at the Legion, Cogeco and her faith at St. John’s. I will treasure the memories. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time. Sincerely,Marilyn.

I’m so sorry that the world has lost Laura...I have so many good and fun-filled memories from working with her at Trillium Cable. We called her the Tasmanian devil or Taz for short because she was always in motion and her jokes were legendary. She and my Mom, Marty, were also good friends and allies in many worthy causes usually around Branch 95. She will be much missed.
