To All the McRae Family
So sorry to hear of Rita’s passing. I used to teach with Rita at Lombardy School when George Rutherford was principal and Lena worked in the Office. It was only a four room school at that time but we all worked hard and Lombardy had a very good reputation but we all had fun and really enjoyed working together. Sincere condolences to all of you in the loss of a wonderful lady, especially hard in these difficult times!

So sorry to hear of Rita's death. Thanks to Kathy H who let Helen know of her death and service at the cemetery. We watched the service in the bright sunshine and thought of her smile, bright and sunny. What a wonderful long and happy life with all those grandkids and great grandkids. We think of Rita and realize what a wonderful, strong woman she was through all the years when female life, contribution and work was not truly appreciated. We say this simply from the knowledge of the beauty, depth and cohesive nature of her family’s life and the fact that she was the creator and sustaining force of that family. I am sure that you will all miss her terribly but can still rejoice in what she gave you and which continues to exist through the generations. The family is very much her memorial
