Obituary of Freda Lorraine Mayhew

Mayhew, Freda L. (nee Cross)

Passed away peacefully at the Smiths Falls Hospital on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the age of 85.  Beloved wife of Don. Loving and devoted mother of Cindy (Mike) Holland, and cherished grandmother of Ryan (Kealey) Holland and Candice (Allan) Kinney.  Proud great-grandmother of Brooks, Andy, Remi and Ryley.  She is survived by her siblings Leita (late Clarence) Kerfoot, Lila (late Art) Powers,  Lois (late Ken) Brown,  Marilyn (late George) Kelly.  She is also predeceased by her brothers John (Mary) Cross, Glen (Barb) Cross, Lloyd and Larry Cross.  She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.  Freda's family would like to thank all of the second floor nurses and medical staff at the Smiths Falls Hospital, along with Doctors Maziak, Ryan and Prudhoe, for the extraordinary care.  There will be a private graveside service for Freda at Hillcrest Cemetery, at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation.
