Obituary of Betty Colquhoun

Passed away peacefully at Van Horne Manor on Friday, February 25, 2022 in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Melvin Van Sickle and the late Jack Colquhoun.  Loving and devoted mother of Lou-Ann (Glenn) Cunningham, Gary (Julie) Van Sickle and Pam (Greg) Goodsell. She was the proud grandmother of Ben (Heather), Chris (Agnes), and Troy (Alia) Cunningham, Tyler (Tessa), Zoe, Cole and Hannah Van Sickle  and Andrew (Laura), Joel (Beth) and Jessica (Owen) Goodsell. Cherished great-grandmother of Sierra, Rain, Matthew, Natalie, Roman, Hazel, Alexander and Audrey.  She will also be lovingly remembered by Jack's children David (Lisa) and Steve (Marg) Colquhoun and Nancy (Kris) Weber, as well as her many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.  Betty’s caring, kind spirit will be missed by all those she touched along life’s journey including her precious animals. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Van Horne Manor for making her time there filled with so much love and kindness. Friends may pay their respects at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 12 noon until the time of the service in the Chapel at 2 o’clock. Interment will take place immediately following at Maple Vale Cemetery.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to LAWS or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
