Jack.... my dear Jack...
I'm speechless and I'm SO incredibly saddened by this news.
You're now without a doubt catching the biggest bass in the lake and flashing that incredible and contagious smile of yours.
I´d like to say look over your countless friends and your family but that goes without saying and I know that's what you'll be doing.
Rest well now and a bientôt mon vieil ami.
This has always stayed with me and always will.
"Any job worh doing is worth doing well."
~Jack Lynn
Wishing the entire Lynn family my most sincere condolences.

My favourite memories of Jack always arose out of some kind of family get-together, whether it was just at his home surrounded by Jeanette, Julie, Nancy and Tony or with the addition of other kin and friends. In these situations, he glowed with warmth, graciousness and good-humour. He and Jeanette were such generous hosts and your home always buzzed with a hearty family vibe. I will always appreciate that Jack tried to instil some of his wisdom in all of us as teenagers, whilst also listening to our own immature philosophy on life as we knew it. He was a genuine and Socratic teacher, as well as a good manager; somehow or other, even when I ended up doing chores for him, I felt like I enjoyed myself. Love you, Jack. XO

So sorry to hear my children's Papa passed away, but happy to know he was surrounded by loved ones in his home where he was most comfortable. He was like a father to me...sometimes he couldn't figure me out though and just kept quiet....ie. leather jacket in a small boat trying to fish....chasing a wounded partidge in the bush with his 410. So many laughs....such a gentleman. Such a "man." He is a part of my heart and will always be. Thinking of you all. xo

I have many fond memories of Jack and Jeanette, having spent the better part of my teenage years with Julie, Nancy and Tony at their home in Lindsay and then the next four decades visiting their home and cottage in Perth.
Jack always greeted me with a warm smile and a hug and, even as a teenager, with not a lot of life experience and a whole lot of opinions, Jack would spend hours chatting with me about a wide variety of topics. I recall his teaching me the meaning of the word “albeit” and how to use it in a sentence and still echo a phrase he used after a great meal (which he loved) “I am sufficiently suffonsified and any more would be superfluous “. Jack, you were a kind gentleman and will be remembered fondly. My heart goes out to the entire Lynn family ❤️

Jeanette, Julie, Nancy, Tony and families:
I have many fond memories of Jack & Jeanette at the Lindsay Beaver Lumber (J. W. Lynn Lumber). Jack hired me in October of 1987 and set me on my path to a 32 1/2 year career at Beaver Lumber which eventually became Home Building Centre. I enjoyed a wonderful career there and was always grateful to Jack for my start with his guidance and advice and opportunity to create my place in a corner of his store. I soon learned that Jack & Jeanette could run a business with kindness, fairness and honesty. I carried that lesson forward with me.
Our sympathies to the family at this time of great loss.

I will always remember the swims at the Lynn pool on Elaine Drive and of course walking my parents home after the christmas eve parties every year. (It was only 50 yards from Jack and Jeanette's to our house, but that was the longest 1 hour walk of my life lol). I can also remember being marched back into Beaver Lumber after my dad noticed I had pocket full of loose nuts and bolts from the hardware bins. After my apology to Mr. Lynn, he invited my brother and I over for a swim. Jack is a legend. RIP Mr. Lynn.
