Obituary of Stanley Campton Suffel
Suffel, Stanley
Passed away peacefully at the Perth Hospital on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the age of 81. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Elizabeth "Beth" Suffel (nee Whittle) who predeceased Stan in 2015. Loving father of Julie Suffel and Heather Suffel, and step father of Philip (Linda) Eastwood. Cherished grandfather of Katie, Sean, Tara and Brianna, Marshal, Zack and Clay; and great-grandfather of Keelin, Leo, Domanic, Sierra and Finnegan. Stan is survived by his sister Lois Wright as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is also predeceased by his brothers William and George "Bud" Suffel and sister Margaret Mould. Stan was a proud resident of the town of Smiths Falls, known to many as the town historian. He was involved in many organizations through the years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Smiths Falls Crime Stoppers, Smiths Falls Lions Club, Smiths Falls Town Council, as well as many committees with the town and the Jaycees, to name a few. Stan was also so proud to sell real estate to his many clients over the years, that were settling in Smiths Falls and calling the town home. A service to celebrate Stan's remarkable life will take place at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Smiths Falls on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 11 a.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Smiths Falls Lions Club or University Hospitals Kingston Foundation for the Cancer Centre.
