It was our great joy to have known Janet for so many years, and to catch up with her and all the family in a variety of places. We will miss her terribly.
From the first call we received from her on the QE 2 in 1984, to our discovery of a shared love of Kennebunkport, and to working together on various CBC projects. Also to share lobsters and music and epic conversations. Even attending the weddings of each other’s children.
Janet’s remarkable and wide-ranging expertise in her chosen field, her sardonic sense of humour, and her witty performances as Her Majesty will always be cherished. But her lively outlook will be what we always remember. From Phil, Kathy, Kate, Pete, Fred, Kristen, Gracie, Lela, Max and Sadie: Ave atque vale.
