I was 22 years old when I left Ireland and moved to Canada for 'a year or two' in 1970. Uncle Jim, Aunt Phyllis, Janice and Johnathan, were my only relatives here, and I have very fond memories of many many visits over the years. On many occasions, when they visited, I would come home from work to find that Phyllis had re-arranged my furniture so that my plants would get the proper light!!!! We had lots of laughs along the way, and there was lots of reminiscing about how things were better or worse "at home".
I always felt reassured that if ever needed, they would be there for me.

May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of his hand
