Obituary of Stephen Alden Fielding

Stephen Alden Fielding of Kilmarnock, Ontario passed away at his home on Monday, February 20th, 2023 at the age of 65, with his dearly loved and caring partner Dominique Leger by his side.  Loving father of Jason Fielding and Braden Fielding (Andrea Polidori), and proud grandfather of Oliver Fielding. He is survived by his sister Catherine (Robert) Wilkinson, and his brother Tom (Debbie) Fielding. Stephen is predeceased by his parents Clifford John “Alden” Fielding and Lois Mary Fielding (nee Lackie).

Steve worked for years on the Rideau Canal, where he met many of his closest friends. He was an avid outdoorsman, and a creative cook. He had a brilliant mind, sharp wit, and direct approach to life.

Respecting Steve’s wishes there will be no formal visitation or service.  In lieu of flowers or memorial donations, Steve would want you to enjoy time in the outdoors with those you love.  A private celebration of his life will take place with family at a later date. 

Steve will be fondly remembered by his family and friends and will never be forgotten.
