I was so saddened to hear of the passing of my cousin and godfather. David always came for a visit in his trips home and on one occasion we managed to take in a boat ride to his birthplace of Red Island. Lots of memories. Our deepest condolences to Terri and all the Ryan family. Rest peacefully David. Love to all Rose and Freeman.

We rented the house on B5 Bass Lake from Dave and Teresa. A wonderful couple and landlord's, we always enjoyed Dave's stories of a lad growing up in Newfoundland. He was proud of his children and grandchildren and at that time moved back to the area to be closer to them. Our condolences to Teresa and family for the loss of Dave, may he rest easy. I cannot begin to know the sadness of the loss of David. Etched in my memories; as he was a great Knight's Council member and the even greater raffle ticket sales person. To see him work when we were selling tickets was to see a man passionate about helping others. Very few could say no to him with gracious smile and sincere messages. I am 100% sure when (God willing) that I approach the gates of heaven; that David will be there to stop me; and make sure I buy a ticket....thank you Brother David for all you did for Community, Parish and Family. My sincere condolences to all the Ryan family. I was so saddened to hear of Dave’s passing. He was a special first cousin, who took me under his wing when I first moved to St. John’s. We kept in touch over the years and I have lovely memories of visiting him in Smith Falls and Ottawa, and of course, he always came to see me on his visits back home to Newfoundland. He has always had a special place in my heart. Rest in peace, Dear Cousin.
