Hans will always have a special place in my heart as a kind and supportive man. He was an inspiration and example of living a full life with purpose. Our work around war children helped me understand a lot about my own background. He used to say we all live and die in eternity. The photo is at the 2016 International Conference on Conflict Resolution Education at The Ohio State University. Condolences and hugs to you all.
My deepest condolences. Hans was one of the most gentle and kind-hearted people I ever knew. As a child or as a youngster I thought that ideally one should be like Hans. For him, peace was not only a goal which should be attained in politics. He was a peaceful and decent man himself. Thank you for all your gentleness and kindness. May God let him be in the light and in the peace he was striving for and see his sunshine Rachel again. Eternal memory and blessed repose.
I have wonderful memories of visiting the Sinns at Brooke Valley with my family in the early 70's. Hans and Marion along with Anthony and Nick lived in an incredible log cabin, the best example of practical craftsmanship I've ever seen. Hans seemed to be the the embodiment of the "back to the land" philosophy that was popular then. He was committed to peace and lived those ideals authenticly. Condolences to Hans family and friends, he was a good man.
My condolences to the friends and family of Hans.
I was very fortunate to have had the pleasure of being a part of his blended family for over 20 years. One of my favourite memories will always be heading up to his house knowing he would be taking my sister, Samantha and I to Christie Lake for an afternoon of swimming when we would stay over. He will be deeply missed. He had lived a full and fruitful life.
Sam, please accept my sincere condolences, so sorry to hear this sad news.
I have many fond memories of Hans but my funniest is the day he came into Don’s autobody repair shop carrying a steering wheel and asked him “ can you build a car around this for me “ with a huge smile.
I also have fond memories of you at Sunday School. Sending sincere sympathy to all who loved him
