Obituary of William Daniel Burns
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William Daniel “Dan” Burns on July 16th, 2023. Dan passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his girls. He will be forever missed by his wife of 27 years, Pamela Burns (Hughes) and three daughters Brittany (Matt), Hannah (Dylan), and Zoë (Jeret). Proud Grampie to Lauren, Sydney, Rachel, and Danielle. Dan was the youngest son of Bill and Betty Burns, and brother to Phillip (Lianne) and Chris (Karen) Burns. Loving son-in-law of Barb and Wayne Hughes and brother-in-law to Jennifer and Amanda Hughes. He will always be remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. They say “evidence of a life well lived is found in those who love you.” Though Dan experienced many health challenges in his 58 years, he always maintained a positive, optimistic attitude, and tackled every challenge with a smile. He was an inspiration to many along the way. Dan had many entrepreneurial ventures throughout his life and was always thinking about the next big business idea. He was always willing to help a person in need or offer his words of advice. He was a self-proclaimed philosopher and a dreamer to his core. Dan did his best thinking while driving his John Deere around his beloved property deciding where to plant the next tree.
