To All of Vivian's Family
My sincere condolences to everyone, Vivian was a wonderful teacher, as she was my fifth grade teacher, BUT, not only that, she was the teacher for grades one to eight at the same time at Shane's school house, and i was glad to hear that her grandchildren liked to play pranks on her, as we did, Vivian would come out and ring the bell at 1,00 pm to let us all know that it was time to come back in to school at lunch hour, however, we usually came in ten or fifteen minutes late, as we were playing out in the field and let on we didn't here her ringing the bell, Well, we got away with that a few times, but Vivian wasn't long catching on, and we were told that if it happened again, we no longer could go out to the field, now as teaching goes today, you would have thought that Vivian would have had to love the fact that we were late coming back, and having a few well deserved minutes of rest from eight grades of students, in fact if it were me, I would have waited until 3,00 pm, who would have known, But Vivian, Mrs. Fleming being the teacher she was, was going to make sure we received the education we were suppose to get.She was one of the best teachers I ever had, and it was a privilege to have had her for one of mine.
God speed Vivian and Fly High,
Sincerely, Holly Jordan-Lillie

As mentioned in her obituary, Vivian, was not only a dedicated teacher but she was dedicated to our local branches of retired teachers. The Lanark Branch of the Retired Teachers of Ontario (RTO/ERO) will be making a donation in her memory to the RTO Foundation. The Foundation is seeking to improve the quality of life for seniors across Canada. Vivian's leadership in the retired teachers' organizations did truly enhance the lives for many in our area.
Linda Cuthbertson, Member Services Chair Lanark Branch RTO/ERO.
