Obituary of J. Howard Jefferys

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of James Howard Jefferys in the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital on Saturday, August 5th, 2023, at the age of 88 years. Howard is reunited with his beloved wife of 55 years,  Jacqueline Jefferys (nee Booth) and his parents James and Gladys (nee Millington) Jefferys. Howard was the loving father of Kent (Kate), Jay (Lori), and Jane (Lionel) Cherished grandfather of Jessica, Jennifer, Evan, Alex, Amy, Holly, Kate, Brandon and Alicia, and great grandfather of Kaliope, June, Landon, Aurora, Rhett, Arowen, and Georgia.

Howard will be fondly remembered by his brother Norman Jefferys (Joanne), his sister Nancy Rinaldis (Peter), his sisters in-law Karyn Chadwick (Steve), Monique (late James) Booth and Dawn (late Brad) Booth, and all of his nieces, nephews, extended family members and so many of his friends.

Howard had a very successful career. He graduated in civil engineering at Queen's University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in May 1960. Howard's family would like to thank all of the nurses and doctors who have taken exceptional care of him throughout the last 5 months. In particular they would like to thank the 2nd floor medical staff at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital.
