I cannot even begin to express my sorrow and how deeply sorry I am to have read this obituary this morning. My every thought is with you Dawn and Shawn, Bill, Cherrill, Kelvin, Paula and Andy and all of your children. I will never forget the many hours that I spent with your family, and all the love that your mom gave. I am so sorry that I was not aware and therefore did not show my respect by attending the gathering for Ruth. Sending my love to all.

Cara and I had the chance to meet Ruth back in 2018. Ruth made a quilt out my mother's dresses. It was amazing, my mom just loved it. My mom has since passed away and I have the quilt, but now I have great memories of it and of my mother and the fine lady that took the time to make it. She was truly a remarkable woman. Cara and I were so lucky to have had a nice meal at Paula's house back in 2018 with Ruth and her husband. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time.

Paula and all the Gibson families
This was such a shock to both Duane and I. Ruth was such a busy and friendly person. It’s hard to believe she won’t be around fussing around everyone. This will be such a loss for everyone but with such a strong loving family I’m sure you’s with all pull together and get through this difficult time. Keep your memories close.

To Bill, Cherrill, Dawn, Paula and families,
Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your Mom. I remember Ruth being my 4-H leader for my very first 4-H club many years ago on the Second Line of Drummond. It was the Outdoor Living club that year and we took the Gibson pop up trailer for one of the 4-H activity outings. Ruth was always so kind and always smiling.

Ruth lived her life with dignity and ended her life with dignity. She always had a smile and would give you a big hug if she hadn’t seen you in a while. Always enjoyed our chats and she would give me the kindest, genuine compliments just when you needed them the most. If only we all could experience the love that she and Bill had for one another.I will miss her and her quirky sense of humour!
