So sorry to hear of Donna’s passing. Donna had an abundance of wonderful energy which she invested in the care and support of others. Donna was such a cheerful, kindhearted soul whose smile and laughter could brighten up the darkest of days. Her heart never seemed to age, this in spite of the ongoing physical constraints she experienced. We worked together for many years at the Health Unit. To our colleagues we became known as, Donna E and Donna O. She was an exceptional nurse who cared deeply for those under her charge, regardless their age, or station in life. Her client's absolutely adored her. Just recently we spent a lovely afternoon together, reminiscing on days gone by and making plans for a lunch date. You didn’t have to be around Donna very long to realize what a proud Momma and Grandma she was. Family was everything to her! May her legacy will live on in each of you and may the Lord be with you during this season of grieving, tenderly comforting you with His care and compassion. With a heavy heart, we say goodbye to this wonderful woman. Our children have been so blessed to know both of Dylan's Grandmother's. Having a Great Grandma is so special and I'm grateful they got to spend so much time with her. She was always so thoughtful with the children, bringing them a gift when we'd see her and never missing an opportunity to mail them a card for a birthday or holiday - always signed them G.G.Donna I loved talking with Grandma Egan, she would tell stories about Paul, Susie and Dave when they were young, about her job as a nurse. My favourite story about when she was a girl, at the one room schoolhouse, and the neighbour came over to tell them WW2 had ended. She talked about how they let school out early and everyone was so excited. I will always cherish her stories like I cherish the ones from my own Grandma. My favourite memory is when we told her we'd be naming our youngest son after her first husband, Paul's dad John, she cried happy tears and it made my heart swell. Her words "John would have loved seeing all these great grandkids running around." You will be missed by this wonderful family you created. Rest Peacefully with all your loves who have been waiting for you.

She was such a lovely lady and I recall her laugh, her smile and that twinkle she always had in her eye. Whenever we would meet we would catch up on where the family were and what they were up to. Judy and I were saddened to learn of Donna’s death. We always enjoyed a visit with her. After she and Uncle Art married, Donna quickly became acquainted with the many Egan and Hamilton clan and was much loved by all. Imagine suddenly gaining a few hundred nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws! We will always remember her with greatest affection. We tender our deepest sympathies to her children and their families. Donna was a beloved friend to all of the Evans family, especially to my mother Lois. At Otter Lake she would often send her "ambassador" Ben out the door with a " would you like to visit Lois?" And off he would go, two doors up to our cottage, announcing their visit with his distinctive bark. Donna brought so much love and joy to all of our lives. I could always count on a smile, a huge hug and a twinkle in her eye as she laughed. I know she loved you all so very much. Praying you will be surrounded with love and beautiful memories of your Mom and Step Mom. We will miss her!

I knew her through my dad ( Bill Playfair) She was a lovely lady who would always stop to chat when I seen her and ask how my family was , as I would ask about her family !
