Obituary of Riley Douglas Irvine
Riley’s family are devasted to announce his sudden and tragic passing following a motor vehicle accident on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at the age of 18. He was the cherished son of Heather Knapp-Irvine and Kirk Irvine. He was a loving and protective brother of Lovina, Lois, A.J., Ross and Addie. Riley was the precious grandson of Stan and Connie Irvine and of the late Thomas and Lois Knapp. He will be fondly remembered by his aunts and uncles; Carol Theriault (Walter), Dianne Seed (Gary), Connie Simpson (Ron), Kathy Harper (Wayne), Harold Knapp (Diane), Kenny Knapp (Cathy), Joe Knapp (Ellie), Jeff Knapp (Suzie) and Rob Irvine (Tracy). He will be sadly missed by Emmitt, Elexis and Emily Irvine and Thomas Knapp, along with his many other cousins, his great-aunts, and great-uncles, as well as his extended family and his many friends at Athens High School and his many friends in the Smiths Falls, Athens, Brockville, Westport, Toledo and surrounding communities. His loss will be felt by many, and he will be sorely missed. Everyone that knew Riley, or the family are welcome to pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Friday, October 13, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A service will be held on Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church on Saturday at 11 o’clock. Interment will take place at Maple Vale Cemetery, with a reception to follow at the Blair & Son Reception Centre. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to CHEO.
