When I think of Jean I instantly recall laughter and story telling. What a great smile! I so enjoyed how real Jean Edwards was… you don’t mess with Jean. She loved to sing praise to Jesus her saviour and Lord. She never missed a hymn sing, and would go and get everyone else to join in. She was truly amazing and I thank God for letting me meet her. Blessings to all her family. Rev. David (and Linda) Stead

I am sending my heartfelt condolences to Steve and Judy, Jennifer and Jeanette. I first met Mrs. Edwards when she was the leader of the United Church Wolf Cubs where I first met Steve. So many years have passed and I still proudly refer to Steve as one of my best friends. Jean will be missed but her legacy will continue with her children.

Jean was a good friend to my Mom. I became friends with Jean through babysitting for her. I appreciated all she did for me and my family. From a wedding shower for me to helping me prepare for my parent’s 50th anniversary celebration, Jean was there to help. I am forever grateful for Jean’s generosity for letting me stay in her home, while I was able to visit my mother in a nearby retirement home. I will always have memories of this special friendship.

My condolences to Jean’s family & friends. I couldn't help but smile when I seen Jean, she always displayed such a love for her family & a zest for life. She was a lady with spunk & I admired that in her (oh how she loved a joke!)….she will be missed by all that knew her.

My memories go back to when I was a teenager and came to babysit - at that time -Stephen, Scott and Jennifer. Jeanette, you came along a little later :)
Your Mom loved all aspects of life. She approached everything in a positive way.
She helped me get my first job as a waitress and kitchen helper in Smiths Falls.
Jean and my mother (Mary Moss) travelled together from Smiths Falls to Barrie for several years. I am sure the stories and laughter lasted the whole trip, each time. Her kindness and thinking of others was a gift.
I will remember her caring , her energy, her enthusiasm, and most wonderful laugh.
Thinking of all of you
Elizabeth Thomas (Moss)
