Edwards, Jean Marie

Aged 87 passed away peacefully at the Smiths Falls hospital, Ontario on January 4, 2023. Jean was predeceased by her son Scott Edwards and her parents Margurite (Davey) and Basil MacPhail. She was the cherished mother of Steven Edwards (Judy), Jennifer Edwards, and Jeanette Hewson (Blaine). Her greatest source of pride and joy were her three grandchildren, Andrea Gee (Jacob), Scott Hewson, and Andrew Hewson.

Known for her love of games, we are sure that Jean is now playing euchre and bridge in a place where every hand is a winning hand. Her last Christmas was a day filled with cards and games, surrounded by the love of her family – a day she held close to her heart.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Ronald McDonald House. A private service will be held at a later date.

Jean’s warmth, love, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
