Obituary of Lyla Jean Brennan

Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the age of 78. Welcoming her at the gates of heaven was her beloved grandson, Emery Gabriel Brennan. Beloved wife and best friend of Lawrence Brennan of over 60 years. Loving and devoted mother of Lisa (Lionel) Trudel, Lianne (Philip) Burns, Laurie Brennan, Lana (Mark) Pettit, Lesley Brennan (Chase Himmelman), Lawrence Jr. (Heather) Brennan, Lorel Brennan, Lane Brennan (Laura Cazemier), Leah (Greg) Allen, and Lyndsay (Dallas) Mullaney. Proud grandmother to her cherished 27 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and counting. Lyla will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, Lawrence’s entire family and their many friends. All are welcome to join the family to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis de Sales Church, Smiths Falls on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 1 p.m. A reception will follow as the family celebrate her beautiful life at Hanley Hall. Lyla’s final resting place will be beside her grandson Emery, in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rogers House or PEP Seniors Therapeutic Centre, in Smiths Falls.
