Peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital, Mar passed away on January 4th, 2025 at the age of 68. She leaves behind her loving husband of 37 years Donald William Walsh, and her only child Ian Matthew Walsh (Brittany May Mowat-Walsh). She was adored by her sweet little granddaughter Gracie Rhane Walsh. Mar was survived by her sister Valerie (Tom) and brother Wayne (Stacey).
Mar’s kindness and huge heart will live on through her family and very tight knit group of friends who she loved dearly. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery and a Celebration of life will take place in the spring. In honour of Mar, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
