Janet Hughson posted a condolence
To all the family -
I was so sad to learn of Cousin Beth's death earlier this week. Although our paths crossed only occasionally over the years, she was someone I was always very fond of. She was unfailingly kind and such an easy person to be with, always interested in how our family was doing. Our world is a poorer place for not having her with us.
I would very much like to attend the May 5th memorial. I'll be back in Ottawa from South Carolina in early April and can always be reached by e-mail at janethughson@rogers.com
I'm thinking of you.
xo Janet

Out of sorrow comes joy! This is how I felt when I first met Elizabeth many years ago when I stayed at Interval house a few times. She helped me feel good about myself. Whenever I would see her on the street years later she would always stop and chat. She had a way of making me feel special.
In honour of Elizabeth I will be making a donation to Interval house, and will always pass on the loving kindness she showered me with.
Sincerely,
Debbie Wilson

Beth meant a lot to my mom, Marg Querengesser, but she passed away in 2003. I know she would have wanted to be there for Beth. On behalf on my family I would like to pass on our condolences to your whole family.

My deepest condolences to all. Beth was a very special aunt and I will treasure the memories of all the times over the years that Mom and I would "come for a visit" to either Fallbrook or Perth. Mom is not able to understand Beth's passing in her condition; a week doesn't go by, however, without her mentioning Beth's name at least once, as if she had just talked to her. In her mind, they are the "Johnston sisters" once again.
Sincerely,
Jayne

We are the Green's from next door at the cottage. We were so fond of your mother and loved seeing her when we came up to Ompah. We know she shared our love of the quiet and the beautiful lake. We occasionally dropped by for a drink and good conversation and always shared a wave and a smile from our neighbouring docks. We will miss her. Our condolences to all of you.

To John,Robbie,Mary,James and Charlie:
I am so sorry to read about the passing of your Mother. She was a wonderful lady and I have very fond memories of Fallbrook years. She loved the country, and was so pround of each of you. She used to joke with me when James and Charlie were teenagers that she should be paying me room and board for them. She will always be remembered for her joy of life and her wonderful smile. My condolences to all of you and your familys. Kara and Katie send condolences as well.
Kathy Buffam, Fallbrook

Barb Ferguson posted a condolence
A number of years ago I was pleased to see an old neighbour join one of the Yoga classes in Perth. Beth always asked me what was happening on the Anderson Side Road, did the Fall River still run high in the spring, who were the new people in various houses and what was I up to, anyway!
I visited her several times on Lally Lane and enjoyed stories of her family, her summer home, shared B.C. trip experiences with her (our son is out there too), and just enjoyed hearing her talk about so many different topics.
A delightful down-to-earth smart lady who will be missed by many.
. . . fondly, Barb Ferguson, Fallbrook

Dear John, Robbie, Mary, James and Charlie:
I was so sorry to hear that your Mum had died.
A more generous, kind and funny person would be hard to find.
I admired her so much and she taught me so many things about life.
These two arenāt the most important, but for some reason they come to mind often:
1. There is always room for one more person at dinner, and
2. Any two Campbellās Soups can be put together!
I will always have very happy memories of time spent with her, and all of you, at your old house on Buena Vista and at the Farm.
I am very sorry for your loss.
With sincere affection,
Markie Cochran

Dear Mary, Peter, Evan, John, Robbie, James and Charlie,
My deepest condolences in the passing of your warm and loving Mother "Beth". Our mothers are very special people and Beth was certainly one of the best. I always admired her adventurous travels as Mary told of destinations she would be off exploring. Beth has raised an amazing family and my best to each of you as you celebrate her unique and love filled life and go forth into the years ahead.
