Obituary of Murray Quattrocchi

Quattrocchi, Murray (Veteran WWII, Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa; Proud family partnership in J. Quattrocchi & Co.; Former owner of Murray's Marine, Smiths Falls and well-known businessman; Paul Harris Fellow and 60 year member of the Perth and Smiths Falls Rotary Clubs; 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus, Rideau Council 2444; Longtime member of the Smiths Falls Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 95). Passed away peacefully in hospital, Perth, on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the age of 97. Predeceased by his first wife Mary (Schillaci) and his second wife Rita (O'Donnell). Loved and respected father of Frank of Lombardy, Christine (Doug) Good of Portland, Marina of Toronto and predeceased by his daughter Catherine and infant son Joseph. Stepfather of Gerald (Wendy) of Toronto, Cheryl Smith and Janet (Hugh) Jeffries all of Perth. Dear brother of Gus (Mary) of Perth and Mary Pizzo of St. Catharines. Predeceased by his sister Rose Quattrocchi, brothers Philip and Joseph Quattrocchi, sister-in-law Rose and brother-in-law Peter Pizzo. Survived by his sister-in-law Jean Quattrocchi of Smiths Falls. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, Mary's family in Toronto, as well as many friends in the Smiths Falls, Rideau Ferry and Perth communities. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St. N., Smiths Falls, on Sunday, March 25, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Francis de Sales Church, Smiths Falls, on Monday, at 11:00 a.m. Interment, St. Francis de Sales Cemetery. For those who wish, contributions in memory of Murray may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
