It is with saddness that our family extends our condolences to you, Mark and Shawn. Mitzy was Godmother to all of us and only she could have been with so many of us, she is so warm and kind. The days ahead will be difficult for you and only time, your love and respect of your Mom will help you through them. There is a bright star in Heaven now, God has opened His arms to bring her home to Him. God Bless you both.

So fitting that donations go to our Teen Moms as Mitze had the biggest of hearts for all of them, I am so grateful to have known Mitze and to have witnessed some of her mentoring in the "Teen Mops" program, Thankyou Mitzie, heaven is an even better place now, love, your friend, Gail

Dear Mark and family,
It has been many years since I last saw your mom, but I wanted to send you my condolences. Mitzy always treated me with so much kindness (in spite of the fact that in high school...no one...was a good choice for her son!) As a mother of four (including three boys) I now completely understand why! She was a strong and beautiful woman and I know she loved you and your brother more than anything. My thoughts are with you and your family at this time.

Dear Mark and Louisa--- We had planned to go to see you to-day, however, had to wait for a plumber (who is still here at close to 7pm) to fix a sudden happening within the house. We are unable to come to you to-morrow either due to a previous family commitment. We regret this very much! Please know that we are there in spirit, and offer our sincerest sympathy. Mitzy had such a high reputation for her caring and good character. Your loss is indeed great. We share your sorrow at this sad time. Mitzy's illness has been long and tedious and it has been very hard for you both. We hope that you can carry on as she would surey want you to do. It was wonderful to see you on Wednesday Louisa ,even under such circumstances. Take care of yourselves and try to get rested before you try to face the challenges out there. Our thoughts are with you and we hope to see you soon. Love,Millie

Mark and family, I'm very sorry for the loss of your mother. For many years, every time I'd see her out and about, she always had a smile and stopped to chat with me. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Jodi

I first met Mitzy in 2000 when she joined the Birth Companion Program at Connections. She had just retired and was looking for a new way to get involved in her community. I had just begun working with the program so Mitzy was in my first group of new volunteers to train. Mitzy was such a warm and giving woman. She touched the lives of so many of the young women with whom she "worked" in her role as Birth Companion. Her popularity grew in her community and I have had more than one soon-to-be mother call me to ask if they could have Mitzy as their Birth Companion. I have even had women say they would wait for her if she was already matched and supporting another. Well, Mitzy was certainly worth the wait! She was so generous of her time and skills. She brought something so special to each match. I recall her telling me about helping get homes organized, get curtains up, and get baking done. This is all in addition to attending prenatal classes, doctor's appointments, and births. She regularly went above and beyond the expectation of her role and she did this because she cared so deeply. Over the ten years Mitzy and I worked together she became so dear to me. I loved talking with her as she spoke of her love for her two sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren. My thoughts are with her family at this time. I will miss her.

Dear Mark and Luisa and Shawn and Monica and family,
I just wanted to say thank you again for giving me the opportunity to work with
Mitzy. She was such a special person and an inspiration to all of us. My thoughts and prayers are with you on this day. I am sure God has an important place in heaven for her most likely caring for the babies and little ones who have passed. I will always be touched by her tremendous love and kindnesses. God bless all of you,
Kerry

My aunt, my 'other-mother', my friend...and so many times throughout my life, you were indeed my life line. You were there for me and my kids every single time I needed you, without question.
You taught me that God and family came first; self-respect; respect for others; and how to hold my head up in the face of adversity.
You were a great lady and you leave behind an even greater legacy. You will truly be missed. "like you forever, love you for always"
