Passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side at Hilltop Manor, Merrickville on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the age of 72. Loving and devoted mother of Mark (Luisa) and Shawn (Monika) Whitton. Cherished grandmother of Luke, Marisa and Ryan Whitton. Mitzy is survived by her brothers John (Nancy), Richard (Lucy), Doug and Roy Miller and predeceased by her sister Jean Hunt. Mitzy will be fondly remembered by Sue McCreary as well as her many extended friends and family in the Smiths Falls and surrounding area. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Friday, April 20, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A service to celebrate Mitzy's life will take place at the Free Methodist Church HWY #29, Smiths Falls on Saturday at 11 o'clock. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Free Methodist Church for their Teen Mothers Support Network, or the J.L Jordan School Yard Legacy Project Prayer Garden.
